Soil: Well-drained organic soil (loose) or enriched potting mixture (free from pest and disease)
pH: The ideal pH of plant is 5.5 to 7
Planting container size : A good drainage 14 to 16 inch diameter and 12-18 deep inches ideal.

Climate: It is a cool-season crop. It commonly grows in cool and moist conditions.

Season : Best season for grow in winter (Jan, Oct, Nov, and Dec)

Caring for my Turnip plant
Planting : The normal spacing between plant to plant 15cm.
Water requirement: Watering once a day. Avoid watering rainy days.
Nutrient: Apply well decomposed plant and animal waste manures and also bone meal or blood meals and liquid fertilizers.
Harvest time: The turnip is ready for harvest after 55-60 days of planting. The root diameter will increase up to 10cm (Ready for harvest) depending on variety, season, and soil nutrient condition.

Neem oil spray 2-5ml per / liter.
Aphids, Flea beetles and mustard sawfly
Spray the insecticide Imidacloprid 70 % WG 0.5 g / lit or 1-1.5 ml/ lit or azadirachtin 1.0% EC 3ml/ lit.
To control to spray Mancozeb g/ lit of water.
To control the white rust, application of copper oxychloride 2g/ lit or Mancozeb g/ lit of water.
